Neutrino interaction physics in neutrino telescopes

Abstract Neutrino telescopes can observe neutrino interactions starting at GeV energies by sampling a small fraction of the Cherenkov radiation produced charged secondary particles. These experiments instrument volumes massive enough to collect substantial samples neutrinos up TeV scale as well PeV scale. This unique ability has been exploited study properties across that cannot be accessed with man-made beams. Here, we present methods and results obtained IceCube, most mature telescope in operation, offer glimpse what future holds this field.
